Black and gold leaf solar lanterns

I bought 2 of these to put on my summerhouse last year and they looked lovely. However I noticed the gold finish started to fade and disappear. I put them away over winter and put them back out last week. They still work well but unfortunately the gold interior is no longer visible which is a bit of a shame.
