This little pot of Crystal Pearls is certainly deceptive as these tiny little beads actually expand to hundreds of times their size when you add water to make gorgeous pearls that look fantastic when used in flower arranging and for table decorations. The Crystal Pearls absorb and hold up to one hundred times their weight in water to become beautiful spheres that work exceptionally well with LED light vases and colourful glowsticks!
These decorative gel beads remove the need for water in flower arrangements as they provide enough hydration for cut flowers (except for roses, which will require additional water) and make wonderfully eye catching displays. You can even float candles in them!
Good, but a bit smaller than expected

We got these for a halloween science show. They're a bit smaller than other ones that I've seen other people use, but big enough for our purposes. You certainly get plenty in the deceptively small container.
Our purposes were to use them to be 'ghost brains' hidden invisibly in a bag of water.
We've also tried soaking them in tonic water (as we wanted them to glow in uv) but with mixed results - they absorb much less than when in water. However, the smaller balls are still pretty cool (we're playing around with diluting the tonic water at the moment).
