Terrarium Kit Description
Once a trend in the Victorian era, the terrarium is back...and with our easy to use kit, you will be creating your own tiny ecosystem in no time. These kits come in two sizes; 5L and XL 15L and have everything you need to get started, you just have to choose the plants you would like, and any little extra embellishments. Add our solar terrarium cork, so you have a living lamp, or decorate with our glow pebbles or glow gravel, for a more subtle glow after dark.
The kit includes all the necessary stones, soil, and charcoal you will need, along with a telescopic rake and shovel enabling you arrange your chosen plants through the narrow neck of the bottle. There is plenty of information available on the web on which plants to choose, and the benefit of a closed terrarium is that you can have exotic plants that would normally only survive in warm tropical conditions, right in our cold draughty UK homes!
Minimal care is needed for closed terrariums, making them ideal for beginner horticulturists or the lazy ones, an established terrarium will happily let you go on holiday for a couple of weeks, or you could take it away with you, they are sealed with a cork, hold barely any water, and make for very well behaved house guests!
