Niger Seed for Birds Description

Provide high energy nourishment for wild birds in your garden all year round with Niger seeds. Niger seed comes from an African yellow daisy, and is rich in oil content making them especially nutritious, and so a great supplement to the diet of smaller wild birds in your garden, they're notably more attractive to Goldfinches! Much smaller than peanuts, Niger seed will simply fall through the cage in traditional nut style feeders, but they're perfect for perspex feeders, bird tables, and sprinkling in feeding areas around your garden.

A little known fact is that Niger seeds have shells, and so if you what looks like seed on the ground, it's not your birds throwing them away. It's actually the shells (husks) of the seeds!
