Like any good cat Bagpuss is ready to warm your lap, simply pop him in the microwave for a couple of minutes and then enjoy his beautiful Lavender scent and lovely warming glow properties. He's fully microwaveable and reusable over and over. Bought this for my 20 month old daughter, admittedly, it was due to the fact I loved this children's programme when I was a kid......next purchase 'Bag puss DVD box set' :)
The toy itself is good quality and looks like the bag puss I recall.
Things to be aware of....
Some fur does come away initially, most probably due to it being new. A gentle brush removed excess fur to avoid our daughter getting it in her mouth. Brushing did not damage to the toy.
We have an 800W microwave, the instructions for heating state no more than 2 minutes for our microwave and that the toy is able to turn within the microwave (which it could)
After 1 minute in the microwave the main part of the body developed hot spots, which cooled quite quickly to the touch. However, and I would be mindful of this....if you you put your nose to where one of these 'hot spots' were and 'gently' breathed in to smell the scent of the lavender, the heat from within the toy was quite uncomfortable, potentially a risk of burning the inside of a wee one's nose.
Tip: DO NOT heat until exterior of toy is warm.
With the above said, we are very pleased with this toy, but most importantly, our wee daughter finds him so comfortable to cuddle into.........definitely need to purchase the box set (for my daughter, of course)
