Very pleased. Far superior to some of the 5 and 6 inch models I have seen. As it is a gift for my grand daughter, I opened the pack to test it to make sure it had not suffered in transit. Love the way the "lightning" changes from mauve to a brighter blue when hands are applied. Seems to make it more "personalised" ! The plastic base could be more solid/weighty, I am sure it is secure, but just gives the impression that the lamp might be toppled if accidentally bumped. Not a criticism, intended as a helpful suggestion. Those old enough to remember the old black rotary dial phones will know what I mean, they FELT like quality made to last when compared to their successors which, though undoubtedly prettier and more streamlined, just felt "flimsy" in comparison,
