Lava Lamps on Tour

Lava lamps are well known for their funky retro looks and mesmerising effects and are currently enjoying a huge resurgence in popularity; a fact not overlooked by indie band The Fratellis.

When out on their 2008 UK tour, The Fratellis contacted The Glow Company looking for something to provide a stage backdrop that would look cool, colourful and stick in the mind of their audience. The Glow Company fulfilled the brief with Colossus Lava Lamps.

The four foot Lava Lamps really held their own on stage providing a hypnotic backdrop to the cool indie sounds generated by the hit band whose single Chelsea Dagger become a massive anthem. The Colossus’s were a huge success with the audience on the tour, in fact they even made the reviews!

"The roadies unveil many gigantic lava lamps all over the stage which draw a big ooooooh from the crowd...and rightly so, they were b#%*@y huge!"
