How to make glow in the dark jelly

* 3 May 2012 09:35:49 BST

If you are having a party in the near future & you want something that little bit different why not create a spectacle with a glow in the dark jelly...

OK, so how do you make a glow in the dark jelly? The answer is simple - use Tonic Water

Make sure you buy tonic water with 'quinine' in it - this is a fluorescent compound that makes the jelly glow. Simply substitute the water with tonic when making your jelly. You may want to add some more sugar to compensate for the slightly bitter tonic taste.

When the jelly is set, serve it up with a UV light - the bigger the better the glow

& there you have it, a glow in the dark jelly
